Pre-engage the spikes by pushing the fastener down or tapping on the cap with a hammer slightly to prevent rebound.Stomp down on the cap or use a hammer to ensure vertical movement. And here’s why… The car mat is sandwiched between the cap and the sliding washer when tightened into the anchor.Use the optional 3/8" Cutter if your mat doesn't have holes.When you step on the cap or hit it with a hammer, the anchor bends inward and the spikes penetrate the carpet on a slight outward angle. When released, the fastener springs back flat and the spikes return to a vertical position, gripping the carpet.The five-legged design provides optimal force distribution and ensures that all spikes are inserted at the same time. 3mm Warm White LED cubes for 6 volt to 12 volt projects, 20 count. These work great for GM dash bulb conversions and railroad projects because of their voltage range and they require no resistors. The resistors are built-in. If your dash switches gave a blue filter screen printed on the face our warm white LEDs will appear white, not light blue. LED Cubes spread light in all directions compared to round LEDs where you do not achieve complete 360 degree coverage. The short bent leg is always negative and they can be tested by with a 9 volt battery. 3mm work best in small switches as 5mm can obstruct switch functions. We also have these in 5mm. 5mm by 5mm 12 volt Warm White LED cubes for GM instrument panels and speedometers, 100 count.Warm white LEDs will make the printed text appear white just like the OE incandescent bulbs. Cool white LEDs will make text appear ice blue or light blue as the OE GM gauge faces have a blue filter printed on the back side. Our LED cubes emit 360 degrees resulting in excellent coverage with no dim or bright spots. The resistor is internal which eliminates tedious soldering and zero flicker.
